We humans are eager to acquire knowledge from all the sources what ever available…. Even if we go through our ancient scripts,,vedas ,puranas etc..we can see that human beings are having that inborn character of acquiring knowledge from all the sources what ever available. Here comes the role of discussion ,transfer and transformation of knowledge …
Vedas Says it as
"Anobhadra: Krithavo yantha ViswathaH:"
let the noble thought of knowledge come from all around
From the thoughts of our acharyas the method of gaining knowledge are of 3 types :
- Adhyayana
- Adhyaapana
- Tat vidyaa sambhasha.
Tat vidyaa sambhashanam:
“ Bhishak bhishakena saha samvadayeth”
Two or more acharyas or vidwans assembled for shasthra charcha(scientific Discussion) or wada(Arguments) vidwada ,it is known as “Tat vidyaa Sambhashanam”
It is of 2 types :
- Sandhaya sambhasha
- Vigruhya sambhashana
Sandhya Sambhashana :
It is a friendly discussion of increasing the knowledge ,reducing the doubts to establish the truth.it is only the group of discussion but not the competition.
Vigruhya sambhashana
It is aimed to present the personal talents by defeating the opponent
Jalpa & vitanda are the methods of it.
Jalpa:- (disputation): this is to get success in the wada,by showing the error of vipaksha (opponent) and presenting supportive positive evidences of swapaksha(ally)
Vitanda:- (wrangling):it is an irrelevant argument in which there will be only eliciting the errors of vipaksha without self evidences
Benefits of Tat vidyaa sambhashana:
It is an art of presentation ,the doubts get cleared and unknown things made known. The grip and interest in subject ,name, fame etc..increases.
Thus the knowledge is unlimited ,increasing day by day ,hence tat vidyaa sambhashanam helps for the exchange of views by which there is every possibility for the aggravation of knowledge.
Nice Initiative. Wish you Good Luck. Happy to be a Part of this Project.
