द्राक्षादि कषायं(ज्वरे)

There are two द्राक्षादि कषायं mentioned in ज्वर

1.
द्राक्षा गुडूची काश्मर्य त्रायमणाससारिवा|
निष्क्वाथ्य सगुडं क्वाथं पिबेद्वातज्वरापहं||

Ingredients and preparation:-
द्राक्षा,गुडूची,काश्मर्य त्रायमाण, सारिवा
Are taken and kashaya prepared as per the classical method

Indication:- वातिक ज्वर

Anupana:- गुड

2.
द्राक्षा मधूक मधुक लोध्र काश्मर्य सारिवा||
मुस्तामलक ह्रीबेर पद्मकेसर पद्मकम्|
मृणाल चन्दनोशीर नीलोत्पल परूषकम्||
फाण्टो हिमो वा द्राक्षाभिर्जातीकुसुमवासित:|
युक्तो मधु सितालाजैर्जयत्यनिलपित्तजं|| जवरं मदात्ययं छर्दिं मूर्छां दाहं श्रमं भ्रमं |
ऊर्ध्वगं रक्तपित्तं च पिपासां कामिलामपि||

Ingredients and preparation:-
द्राक्षा,मधूक,मधुक(यष्टीमधु),लोध्र,काश्मर्य,सारिव,मुस्त,आमलक,ह्रीबेर,पद्मकेसर,पद्मक,मृणाल,चन्दन,उशीर,नीलोत्पल,परूषक
Are taken and kashaya, hima or phanta prepared as per the classical method .

Indication:- अनिलपित्तज-( ज्वर,मदात्यय,छर्दि,मूर्छा,दाह,श्रम,भ्रम) ऊर्ध्वग रकतपित्त,पिपासा,कामल

Anupana:- मधु,सिता,लाज

Note on जाती कुसुम वासित:-
The word जाती कुसुम वासित is attributed to hima only. prepare hima (हेमाद्रि commented-  रात्री द्रवे स्थितं) and cover it with a long plantain leaf and keep जाती flower over it and cover it again and tied well.keep over night and used in the next day.The evaporations  get mixed with the flower and imparts fragrance to the kashaya.



Vagbhata instructed to use as either phAnTa or hima. 


Arunadatta quoted it as drAkshAdi gana. 


It is always better to give kwatha churna to the patient and ask to prepare either of above and use. It will work wonders. 


AnupAna is also interesting. Though the text didnot advice or for kaphaja avastha , but given madhu as anupAna in the later part. It could be used in such conditions with madhu. 


Sugar candy can be given in either vataja or pithaja jwara. 


Laja can be given as anupAna once AmAvastha is removed and can be considered as nourishing. 


By looking into its indication ; it has covered almost all system related disorders ! So It can be used everywhere.
